The Working Farm is a hands-on educational field trip to help students learn about life on the farm, either as a career option, or at least to have a better appreciation for those who grow the food they eat.
The educational experience centers around spring life on a real working farm. Our farm has nearly one hundred
acres in the Missouri River valley, growing corn, soybeans, pumpkins and more. Students will explore the life cycle of plants, as seen through the cycle of our pumpkins, soybeans and corn.
Each student is given pumpkin seeds and peat seed pots, and they will tour our Little Farmers Self Guided Museum before taking a tractor-driven wagon ride around the farm.
